New Players? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ New Players.

All of a sudden everyone has an opinion about how to improve the Indians.

We need a solid outfielder with a strong bat from the right side.

Carlos Beltran. Ryan Ludwick. Michael Morse. Hunter Pence. Jeff Francoeur.

We need a new starting pitcher.

Aaron Harang.  Hiroki Kuroda.

Seriously?  Can I offer the cheapskate ownership and GM Chris Antonetti of the first place Cleveland Indians some FREE advice?  Leave well-enough alone.

It’s true that Sizemore may be out for the remainder of the season, but he was never really in, was he?  And Choo will be back in a few weeks to take over right field with his golden arm, which was already handled effectively by a host of outfielders.  As for our starting pitching, White is coming back and Carmona is still capable of being Fausto Carmona.  It’s all good.

Don’t tinker.  Or as my dad used to say: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.  And it ain’t broke, so don’t fix it.
