The Boys of Summer Demand Your Attention

Love’m or hate’m, these guys demand your attention. And as I’ve been saying all season, they deserve it.

Last night’s performance was classic 2010 Indians.

Andy Marte comes into the line-up to take advantage of Lester’s low ball pitching and proceeds to bumble the baseball like a hot potato.

But the pitching holds up to the very end when Jose, I mean Kerry Wood enters the game. Meanwhile, the Tribe had battled back from a 5-run deficit to go ahead 6-5, only to enter the bottom of the 9th down 7-6.

So what do the boys do? Do they think about half-hearted fans like Tom Neumann and Dominic Litten (the non-believers) and start packing their bats? NO! They rally back before the crowd of 20,000 fans and they stick it to the Red Sox. They stick it where the sun don’t shine. And we split the series and climb one step closer to the ultimate goal.

23 down, 67 to go.
